New Interfaith Book Discussion Here 1/22/14

St. Louis Interfaith Book Discussion
Weds. Jan. 22, 4-5:30 pm,
Central Library, 1301 Olive St., St. Louis
Join Leslie Heberlie of Interfaith Partnership and Claire Droste of Diversity Awareness Partnership as they lead a discussion on Eboo Patel's Acts of Faith. This is a remarkable account of growing up Muslim in America, and coming to believe in religious pluralism, from one of the most prominent faith leaders in the United States. Eboo Patel’s story is a hopeful and moving testament to the power and passion of young people—and of the world-changing potential of an interfaith youth movement. You do not need to have read the book to get something meaningful out of this discussion. The leaders will introduce attendees to the book's premise and outline the narrative before drawing in key concerns about religious identity and discrimination, plus why interfaith work is an essential concern for all persons today.  Contact Kim Parks at 314-359-0357 or  kparks@slpl.org for more information/directions for this event.
